Safety, health and holidays post Covid-19
Hospitality and the protection of health are the priority of the staff at the Jhotel.
The Jhotel has a certified air sanitation system, which, even during this emergency, allows its guests to stay in complete safety. 

The Jhotel monitors the updates from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Italian Istituto Superiore della Sanità (ISS) on a daily basis to adopt the suggested safety measures. Our first concern is the wellness and safety of our guests and staff, under all circumstances.

HEALTH SAFETY

All our staff have received detailed guidelines and specific cleaning, hygiene and sanitation measures have been taken in all our properties, with the aim of working safely and providing a safe and clean environment for our guests and all staff.

TASK FORCE AND NEW ANTI-COVID PROCEDURES FOR THE STAFF

A special ANTI COVID Task Force has been set up within the staff of the property to assist the entire staff in complying with ANTI COVID 19 regulations; the entire staff will be adequately trained in ANTI COVID 19 preventive hygiene practices. Each employee will be asked to take their temperature before leaving home and not to go to work if the temperature does not comply with the regulations. Each employee will have his/her body temperature measured and recorded on arrival at the property.
All back house areas will be equipped with sanitising gel.

Welcome and reception

In order to observe proper social distancing and avoid gatherings, the following procedures will be adopted:
 
  • On days with a high number of arrivals and departures, the check-in and check-out desks will be separated;
  • The online check-in system will be expanded and implemented;
  • The guest will be asked to send a scanned copy of his or her identity document by email, in order to speed up the check in and registration process;
  • Entry and exit routes from the reception area will be clearly defined and marked;
  • A sign will be placed at the entrance to each reception area:
    - A sign explaining basic hygiene procedures;
    - Disinfectant dispenser with photocell;


All guests will pass through a thermal-scanner that will allow us to check the body temperature of those entering the property.
  • The minimum distance to be maintained in case of queues will be marked on the floor of each reception;
  • The entrance to the lifts must be single or at most only for the same family unit; the push-button panel of the same lift will be disinfected regularly;
  • Car parking must be carried out by the owner of the car;
  • Every single piece of equipment delivered to the guest will be disinfected beforehand and disinfected again when returned;

The ANTI COVID TASK FORCE will ensure that all these rules are fully complied with.

Hygiene and housekeeping procedures

Our rooms have always been disinfected before the arrival of our guests. We will continue to do so with even greater care. All areas and things that are touched most often such as lift buttons and handles are disinfected several times, every day.
 
The sanitation procedures, in detail, will be intensified as follows:
  • Disinfectant gel dispensers with photocells will be placed at the right distance in all common areas;
  • All common areas will be properly cleaned with suitable disinfectant products;
  • All communal bathrooms will be equipped with antibacterial soap and disposable or electric towels;
  • The bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected every two hours by staff.

Cleaning of the rooms

All housekeeping staff will be provided with the PPE required by current regulations:
  • Mask
  • Gloves
  • Cap

The cleaning of the room will have two different procedures:
 
ROOM DURING STAY: the cleaning procedure will be the standard one according to the protocol of the property;
ROOM UPON DEPARTURE: the room will be disinfected with appropriate and certified products.
 
In both cases, cleaning will cover all surfaces that come into contact with the guests.
The PPE of the guests will be disposed of separately.
All surfaces will be cleaned with specific products and single-use material or treated with 2% sodium hypochlorite.
In the case of a room upon departure, the minibar and the products in it will also be disinfected
All amenities, where present, will be cleaned periodically and, in the case of a room upon departure, disinfected

Reception and Lobby area

All the reception and lobby areas will be aired, cleaned and disinfected periodically (at intervals of maximum two hours). Surfaces that come into the most contact with hands will be continuously disinfected.

Air conditioning systems

When the system is switched off, cleaning and disinfection will be carried out according to the normal HACCP procedures. The system of the Jhotel, built using the most modern technology, guarantees and has been certified for the quality of the air that enters the structure (certificate is available and consultable at the reception).
 
The ANTI COVID TASK FORCE will ensure that all these rules are fully complied with.

THE DINING SERVICE: DISTANT TO BE TOGETHER

All surfaces will be continuously disinfected. Workstations will be arranged in such a way that employees never work next to each other. In any case, all employees will be provided with surgical masks, strictly for their own use and in quantities that allow for replacement in accordance with current regulations.

Served buffet service

Breakfast service includes both a buffet section and table service.

Stands with sanitising gel will be placed at the entrance to the restaurant to ensure safety.
 
Along the floor, access and exit routes from the restaurant will be marked out and adhesive strips will be placed to ensure that safety distances are maintained where necessary.
 
In between the shifts, all areas of the restaurant, including tables and chairs, will be thoroughly disinfected.
 
The ANTI COVID TASK FORCE will ensure that all these rules are fully complied with.

Table service

For table service, waiters will serve Guests wearing the Individual Protection Devices required by law. Menus will be disinfected before being handed to the guest.
Tables will be distributed throughout the room at the established distances.  The table linen will be replaced at each change of guest.
In between the shifts, all areas of the restaurant, including tables and chairs, will be thoroughly disinfected.
 
The ANTI COVID TASK FORCE will ensure that all these rules are fully complied with.

Room service

Room service will be conducted using disposable, hermetically sealed containers. Meals are prepared in the kitchen by trained staff and transferred to the guest rooms on trolleys.
The trolley will be brought by the waiter, equipped with his personal protective equipment, to the front door of the room.

At the bar

Stands with sanitising gel will be placed at the entrance to the bar.
 
The staff at the bar will be equipped with masks to ensure safety.

The entrance to the enclosed area of the bar will be restricted and strips will be placed on the ground to separate people inside the bar. In the outdoor area, tables will be placed at the prescribed distances.
 
The ANTI COVID TASK FORCE will ensure that all these rules are fully complied with.
The J Hotel, which opened in November 2019, is equipped with specialized equipment to sanitise the environment and surfaces, which that have been installed to ensure a healthy environment that is protected from contamination by bacteria, coronavirus, mould, VOCs, allergenic germs such as dust mites, and control of odour charges. In fact, it has been awarded a certificate for the sanitisation of its environments and air ducts, with sanitised air, even before Covid-19 arrived. This confirms this property's commitment to preserving the health and safety of environments and people.
